One of the things that Puerto Vallarta boasts is an amazing International Sailfish and Marlin Tournament, going on for more than 50 years now.
Did you know that the sailfish is the fastest fish in the ocean, capable of reaching speeds of up to 68 mph? Its large size and spirited fight makes it a favorite among trophy fishers.
This year's International Sailfish and Marlin Tournament will be held November 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2011. Here is the official page where you can see the types of prizes that were given away last year.
